WHEN WERE YOU SAVED?
When I was in grade three I knelt down and asked Jesus to be my saviour. I finally realized that God hears a simple prayer of repentance. He forgave me and accepted me as His child.
SPIRITUAL INFLUENCES?
My Mom, who is a prayer warrior, and my Father, who is a student of God's Word. I am an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and Bible School really helped me grow in my faith.
ABOUT YOUR FAMILY?
I have three sisters who were there at the beginnings of DOUBLE PORTION. My parents also raised seven foster brothers and sisters.
ROAD LIFE?
I LOVE IT, the good and the bad!!! I guess you have to be made for this life. Each day has alot of challenges and sometimes you can get discouraged. What keeps me going is God's calling on my life, my wife's strong support and the faithfulness of God's people. It's a joy to see God's hand at work everyday.
MOST EXCITING ROAD MEMORIES?
There are so many. Max-ed out Visa's in California trying to fix a bus and finally going home with it the same way; stuck against a cement wall trying to get onto a freeway in New York City after a wrong turn; going down the West Coast in style (Lincoln Towncar, new half ton truck and U Haul) thanks to God's people after more bus repairs; did I mention a blown motor the morning after singing at the Canadian Quartet Convention. I could go on.
MUSICAL INFLUENCES?
I remember growing up listening to the Chuck Wagon Gang and many others. My Mom is very musical and I grew up in church always around music. My brother in law Elvis taught me my first bass guitar notes. My sisters are very talented musically and taught me alot.
FAVOURITE SITES?
Alaska and the Yukon
GOALS IN LIFE?
I want to be used by God to the greatest extent He can. I want to have Godly character and to help encourage those who are in music ministry.
WHEN NOT ON THE ROAD?
I ranch with my father and am very busy trying to get as much work done before we leave again. As well I have to try to keep up with all the office work and bookings of DOUBLE PORTION.
FAVOURITE RESTAURANTS?
CiCi's Pizza and Bonanza.
