June has been a very busy month and we have alot to tell you about. The month started out wet but finished off hot and dry. Weather conditions didn't affect any of our concerts though and we were thankful for the Lord's blessing.

Busy June
We've had the opportunity to minister at various
different
events this month.
We sang at Dan &
Lauren Daae's
wedding at the beginning of June. The whole Daae
family are great friends of ours and we've ministered
together with the Families of Faith Concert Series.
We
sang at several special outreach events including a
pancake breakfast in Saskatoon and a Canadian
timed events
rodeo at Torch Trail Bible
Camp. We also
ministered
at the Deer Valley Meadows Gospel
Sing in Alberta
with alot of other groups including High Valley and
Freedom. It's always fun to sing with friends and
meet some new ones. We sang at the
Heritage Christian School Graduation in North
Battleford as well as two
concerts in Meadow Lake and North Battleford with
Trevor & Jenny Baker. Trevor is a singer/songwriter
who is a prophet for our time. The things he says
really make you examine your walk with the Lord and
the condition of our country of Canada. We also
performed at beautiful Kinasao Lutheran Camp on
Christopher Lake and a couple churches in Star
City and Spalding, SK.

Andrew graduates!
June 10, 2006 was a proud day as our oldest son
Andrew graduated from High School in Landis, SK.
With us being
on the road alot, Andrew had his challenges keeping
up with school work but he worked hard and finished
with full credits. His
testimony song played during the Graduation slide
show thanked
the Lord for His blessings and all He's done in his
life. It was a wonderful testimony.
Andrew
plans on continuing ministering with the band. He
wants to use the talents the Lord has given him to
touch people's lives.
Bus Fund Update We are trusting the Lord for a newer bus with a 60 series motor, Allison 6 speed transmission, 9 bunks, back bedroom and kitchen. We are praying specifically. We have had a church pledge a minimum of $500 toward the venture. If you would like to contribute toward this need you can send it directly to Canada's Double Portion, PO Box 96, Cando, SK, S0K 0V0. If you'd like a Canadian tax receipt you can make the check to Wilderness Ministries. Changes coming.... -

Band changes coming!
Most of you know that Shannon is getting married on
August 12th to Michael Daae and will be moving to
Estevan, SK and traveling with the Daae Family as
they minister. She will be with us till July 30th.
During our trip back from tour in May,
Michael & Lauryn Olson also let us know they would
be leaving the group at the end of July. They want
to be more involved in their church family and be
around home more often. This is (singing at the
Canadian Timed Events Rodeo)understandable
as
they are both working full time at an outreach
ministry called "Door of Hope" in Meadow Lake, SK.
Many times we get home in the wee hours of Monday
morning and they head off to work after only a few
hours of sleep. Toward the end of the year Michael
and Lauryn will begin singing part-time with Lauryn's
parents,
Bruce & Pam Kashuba and Lauryn's brother Joel.
Michael and Shannon have been with our
group 7 years. Michael was 16 and Shannon was 14
years old when they started with us and we have
watched them grow into awesome musicians and
vocalists. More than that we have seen them
mature into young people who love the Lord and
honor Him
with their lives. Lauryn too has been a tremendous
blessing over the 8 months she travelled with us
since marrying Michael. Michael, Lauryn and
Shannon will be truly missed but we realize this is
God's timing and plan.
Our 16 year old son
Jardeth will
be stepping up and taking over the guitar duties and
some
vocal parts. Our 13 year old daughter Christina will
also be playing a bigger part in the group vocally and
musically. Coming on board with us to help will be
Michael and Shannon's youngest sister, Amy Olson,
who plays fiddle and piano and is a fine vocalist. She
is Christina's best friend and it has been Amy's desire
to travel and sing for a long time. We are excited
with what the Lord has in store.
More exciting news coming in July... -
