We started off the month with our great friends The Daae Family and their Canada Day Gospel Sing in Oungre, SK. Then it was off to Brandon, MB. We arrived at an awesome hotel about 2:00am and had to be on the bus by 8:30am to set up. Aah..roadlife.

We had a tremendous weekend at Trossachs Bible Camp where we lead the worship and did some special music. The speakers were excellent and there was amazing altar times.

After two days at home it was off for the Canadian Gospel Music Celebration in Red Deer, AB. where we sang on Mainstage (see photo) and in the Canadian Showcase. Each day was full of great singing by American groups like the Booth Brothers, Gold City, Legacy Five, The Perrys, Crossway and Canadian groups like Sweet Presence, The Daae Family and the Young Street Vocal Band. That Sunday we spent ministering in a couple churches. We had to do a quick repair on our main battery cable under the bus and were very thankful for the help of Larry Stewart.

A few days at home and then it was off to Sandy Creek Gospel Jamboree that is in a beautiful setting with an awesome sound crew (that means alot to us). There were lots of excellent groups like The Rawling Brothers, Sweet Presence, The Daae Family, Last Mountain Boys and many more. We sang the Sunday night in a Summer Concert Series hosted by a church in Regina. (see photo below)

After attending a Family Reunion for an evening and a morning we headed back to Brandon, MB for our final two concerts with Michael, Lauryn and Shannon. We had our final concert together at Manhattan Beach Retreat Centre on July 30th.

Changes....

Shannon Olson is marrying Michael Daae on August 12th and we are excited with what the Lord has for this wonderful couple. The have bought a small house in Torquay, SK and will be singing with The Daae Family.

Michael and Lauryn Olson are busy working full-time at The Door of Hope in Meadow Lake, SK. The Door of Hope is an outreach to the street people of Meadow Lake. They have just completed a 1 1/2 million dollar project with 14 housing units, laudromat and day care center. Michael is the Ministry Host building relationships with people and Lauryn is the Instructor of Personal Growth and Development. They will be singing with Lauryn's parent's, The Kashubas, toward the end of the year.

We are thankful for Michael and Shannon's youngest sister Amy who has joined our group to play fiddle, piano and add vocals. She is 16 and it's been her heart's desire to travel and sing for the Lord. Jardeth has taken over the guitar parts, added some vocals and Christina is adding her strong vocals and playing some fiddle & piano as well. We are thankful for God's faithfulness.

Please pray specifically for our family regarding some major changes in our lives. We feel the Lord is directing us to move off the farm and we are currently looking at a home 10 minutes from North Battleford next to the 4 lane highway. It seems perfect in many ways but the house needs quite abit of work and we would need the Lord to provide the financing for it. We MUST be in the Lord's perfect will and are continuing to seek His direction. Please keep us in your prayers.

And then there were eight...

We sang at Camp Harmattan in 2004, 9 days after our youngest daughter Olivia was born. A man came up to our table and gave us a book called "And then there were eight". I wanted to burn it and Debbie wanted to read it.....

We are expecting our eighth child on December 1st.

We thought seven was enough but God is now blesssing us with eight. God is good.

(New Band Photo)We sang together for the first time on Monday night, July 31st.
